Be ready with Clim4Cast maps

Europe is currently experiencing a heatwave. In an interview for Czech Television, Lenka Bartošová explains how the Clim4Cast portal can be useful, who can benefit from it, and why it is relevant not only during periods of extreme heat. The Clim4Cast portal was presented at the EGU General Assembly 2026 in Vienna — twice. The contribution focusing on compound events, such as the concurrence of drought and wildfires, was also selected for presentation at a press conference for journalists, placing it among 18 selected presentations out of 20,000 submissions. At the press conference, the Clim4Cast portal was introduced in more detail. The impact database was also presented, with an emphasis on wildfire impacts. We appreciate that our portal caught the attention of the conference organizers, and we see the presentation as an opportunity to bring the outputs of our project closer to a wider community — from the media and experts to practitioners and end users. https://www.egu.eu/gamedia/2026/press-conferences/#PC1

The greatest reward for our work is seeing our maps being used in practice and having a real impact on society. In Poland, Clim4Cast maps are used by the agricultural press, reaching farmers directly.
